       May is in full tilt and the air in the hills around my home seems to be alive with freshness, Flowers are blooming happily everywhere and the birds and animals are dizzy with delight and can’t decide whether to work or play, frantically squeezing both into lengthening days. They invite us all to open to new possibilities. Is it just my perception? Is it a coincidence?

Evidence suggests this is due to subtle influences on fetal brain development due to factors including sleep and wake cycles and the prevalence of viruses that differ from season to season. Across genders and ages, people born in warmer months tend to be more open-minded and experience fewer symptoms of mental and emotional disorders. Those born in May considered themselves luckiest of all.
       Venus, the planet associated with Taurus, the astrological sign for those born from April 21-May21, is often considered the planet of love, which confers beauty, grace, good fortune and affinity for relationship in those born in Taurus. Could the ancients have intuited or known something we are just beginning to zero in on?
