Sometimes we have a situation in which we are not sure what the best outcome would look like, or what steps lie ahead along the road to get there. We can still ask ourselves a basic question: In my need right now, what color would feel good to me? This is different from your favorite color to look at, or the color you like to wear, or other favorites. Asking your intuitive “hunch” sense to suggest to you a needed color is a way of tuning yourself to the energies involved in a situation, especially the energy that is missing and needed to bring balance and harmony. Exciting new developments in the field of energy medicine are bringing positive results, where physical and emotional diseases are treated by low voltage, specific frequencies directed at specific organs or the entire body. Breathing in a color is a way to tune into and absorb the frequency of that color, which may shift your feeling state and bring a useful image or insight into your situation.
For example, suppose you are nervous about asking your boss for a raise or some compensation or even a schedule change. Perhaps you try seeing your boss smile and say yes, but you have a hard time imagining that or holding that image. You could ask your intuition what color you need, and perhaps get a sense that red would be helpful. As you breathe in red, you can feel yourself filling up with its vibration, its frequency of light, that affects your chi – your subtle body energy – as well as your feelings, which in turn has an effect on your thoughts and your sense of well being and capability. In turn, you are more able to present a positive case, adapting to your situation, and more likely to bring about a positive outcome. Or, perhaps your intuition suggests the color orange to you, and you see that color or look at an orange object to focus on breathing in the frequencies of orange, and they balance and energize your system, to the same positive effect.
This is the first of a series of posts that will explore qualities frequently associated with various colors of the rainbow. However, like dream images, the effects of colors are also specific to individuals. We are complex energy systems and the color we think we need by looking at a description of color qualities may not actually be the most beneficial color for us. Our clear intuition can take a more accurate reading of what we need. That is the value of developing good communication with our intuition, by paying attention to “hunches”.
